     Anna Russ was born on 9 February 1748/49 in Ashford, Windham County, Connecticut.1 She was the daughter of John Russ and Rebecca Wood.1 She married Samuel Stowell, son of David Stowell and Mary Foster, on 24 April 1760 in Willington, Tolland County, Connecticut.1 She died on 11 April 1829 at age 80.1
     
     Anna joined the Willington Church on 26 July 1761.1 She and Samuel Stowell had thirteen children all born in Willington, Tolland County, Connecticut.2
