     David Curtis was born in January 1721/22 in Andover, Massachusetts.1 He was the son of Thomas Curtis and Phoebe Gould.2 Marriage intentions for David Curtis and Sarah Stowell were published on 16 June 1743.2 He married Sarah Stowell, daughter of John Stowell and Sarah Magoon, in Sturbridge, Massachusetts.1 He died on 13 September 1806 in Petersham, Massachusetts, at age 84.1
     
     David and Sarah Curtis had nine children.3
