Daniel Stowell was born on 2 August 1737 in Pomfret, Windham County, Connecticut.2 He was the son of Nathaniel Stowell and Margaret Trowbridge.1 He married Anna Bugbee, daughter of Colonel Jesse Bugbee and Experience Peake, on 12 April 1763 in Abington, Windham County, Connecticut.3 He drowned between 12 December 1778 and 15 December 1778 in in the Connecticut River, near Bellows Falls, Vermont, while a messenger in the service.3
