     Nathaniel Stowell was born say 1703 in Newton, Massachusetts.2 He was the son of David Stowell and Mary Stedman.1 He was baptized on 20 November 1709 at the Second Church of Watertown, Middlesex County, Massachusetts.1 He married Margaret Trowbridge, daughter of James Trowbridge and Hannah Bacon, on 22 October 1731 in Newton, Massachusetts.3 He died between 11 December 1757 and March 1757 in Pomfret, Windham County, Connecticut.3
     
     Nathaniel Stowell lived in Pomfret and Abington, Windham County, Connecticut.3 He was a farmer.3 He was the heaviest taxpayer in 1752 in Abington.3 He had first choice of pews after the town officials in New Abington Church, May 1753.3
