     Oliver Stowell was born on 7 December 1744 in Pomfret, Windham County, Connecticut.2 He was the son of Nathaniel Stowell and Margaret Trowbridge.1 He married Abigail Strickland, daughter of Jonathan Strickland and Joanna (—?—), on 30 July 1778 in Stafford, Tolland County, Connecticut.3 He died on 20 July 1836 in Abington, Windham County, Connecticut, at age 91.4
     
     Oliver Stowell was a physician.3 He and Abigail had nine children, all born, in Stafford, Tolland County, Connecticut.5 He was in the Revolution.3
