     Abiathar Woodsum was baptized on 7 October 1753 in First Congregational Church, Biddeford, York County, Maine.2 He was the son of Michael Woodsum and Elizabeth Dyer.1 He married first Mary Atkinson, daughter of Humphrey Atkinson.1 He married second Susanna Roberts.1
     
     Abiathar Woodsum lived on range C, of the first division of lots, not far from Stackpole's brook.1 He had sixteen children.3 He was a soldier in the Revolution.1 He moved to Limington, York County, Maine, during the Revolution and probably died there.1 He was collector of taxes in Buxton for a long term of years, having been chosen as early as 1793.1
