     Abner Woodsum was born on 11 March 1771 in Buxton, York County, Maine.1 He was the son of Michael Woodsum and Elizabeth Dyer.1 He married Sarah Berry on 14 July 1791, Rev. John Fairfield officiating.1
     
     Abner Woodsum cared for his parents in their old age.1 He built a house opposite that of his father, on the Saco road below Salmon Falls, where he lived until about 1825, when he sold out to Capt. Moses Davis.1 He and Sarah Berry had two children.2
