     Joseph Dyer was born on 6 April 1716 in Berwick, York County, Maine.1 He was the son of William Dyer and Mary Chadbourne.1 He was baptized on 14 April 1717 in First Church, Berwick, York County, Maine.2 Marriage intentions for Joseph Dyer and Abigail Haley, both of Biddeford, were published on 23 June 1739 in Biddeford, York County, Maine.3 He married first Abigail Haley, daughter of Benjamin Haley and Susanna Marsh, on 23 June 1739 in Berwick, York County, Maine.1 He married second Hepsibah Dorman, daughter of Jabez Dorman, on 25 March 1758 in Biddeford, York County, Maine.1 He died before 3 January 1764 in Biddeford.1
     
     Joseph and Abigail Dyer had six children.1 He and Hepsibah had three children.1
