     John Morris King was born on 23 September 1809 in Sunderland, Bennington County, Vermont.1,2 He was the son of Eleazer King and Nancy Fowler.1 He married Sarah Ann Jewell in 1833 in Green, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania.2 He died on 13 November 1855 in Salt Lake City, Utah, at age 46.2
     
     John Morris King moved to Utah 17 September 1852 with the John Tidwell company. He was a high priest and member of the Mormon Battalion. He lived in Salt Lake City, Salt Lake County, Utah.2
