Elizabeth Bates was born on 22 December 1671 in Chelmsford, Middlesex County, Massachusetts.3,4 She was the daughter of John Bates and Mary Farwell.2 She married Jonathan Richardson, son of Josiah Richardson and Remembrance Underwood, on 8 November 1692 in Chelmsford.1 She died on 9 May 1722 in Chelmsford at age 50.5 She was buried in Forefather's Burying Ground.5
