Jeremiah Neale was baptized 18: 11: 1645 (18 January 1645/46) in First Church, Salem, Essex County, Massachusetts.1,2 He was the son of John Neale and Mary Lawes.1 He married first Sarah Hart, daughter of John Hart and Florence Norman, on 15 June 1668 at Salem, Essex County, Massachusetts.3,1,4 He married second Mary Buffum 22: 7: 1673 (22 September 1673) at Salem, Essex County, Massachusetts.5,4

Jeremiah Neale was mentioned in his grandfather Francis Lawes's will dated 6 November 1665 in Salem, Essex County, Massachusetts. He inherited one-half of a ten acre lot "by Bracketts".6,7,8
Jeremiah Neale was named executor in his father John Neale's will dated 3 May 1672 in Salem, Essex County, Massachusetts. He was left the other half of the ten acre lot "by Bracketts," a dwelling-house and about four acres of land which he was occupying at the date of the will, an acre of salt marsh bought of Widow Moore, and about three-quarters of an acre of fresh meadow "by Goodell's lot."9
Jeremiah Neale, administrator of the estate of Mary Mansfield, executrix of the estate of her former husband John Neale, brought in an inventory on oath of about 31li., which was to be divided into six shares. Jeremiah Neale, the oldest son, was to have a double portion, the other four shares to be to Jonathan Neale and Joseph Neale, and the widow Ann Neale for the use of her children and the children of Jonathan Hart that he had by Lidea Neale.
