John Neale was baptized 24: 11: 1657 (24 January 1657/58) in First Church, Salem, Essex County, Massachusetts.1,2 He was the son of John Neale and Mary Lawes.1 He married Ann Nichols in 1672.3 He died on 11 November 1679.3

John Neale was mentioned in his grandfather Francis Lawes's will dated 6 November 1665 in Salem, Essex County, Massachusetts. He was selected by his grandfather to carry on his trade as a weaver, and to him were bequeathed all of the tackle and tools.4,5,6
John Neale was mentioned in his father John Neale's will dated 3 May 1672 in Salem, Essex County, Massachusetts. He was to receive an enclosed four acre parcel of land in Salem called Tuck's lot, of the value of £90, after the death of his mother; a ten acre plot called Herbert's lot, worth £25; and one-sixth of Adams' swamp. Until he should receive possession of Tuck's lot, he was to have the use of one-half of the house occupied by his brother Jeremiah, one-half of the orchard and one-quarter of an acre for a garden. However, John predeceased his mother.7
