6th great-grandaunt of Ruth Minerva Fairfield.
8th great-grandaunt of Laura Jane Munson.
Family Background:
Fairfield and Allied Families
Elizabeth Batson was the daughter of Stephen Batson and Elizabeth (—?—) (Batson).1 She married Simon Trott.1 She probably died before 8 March 1673/74, the date of her father's will.2

We know from Stephen Batson's will that he had Trott grandchildren whose mother had apparently died before the will was drawn. In Sharon Cummins' article, "Sects and the Settlement," this daughter is called Elizabeth, and her husband is identified as Simon Trott. We also know from Stephen's will that there was another daughter named Elizabeth who is impossible to confuse with the mother of the Trott children, and who, it doesn't appear, could have been born after the death of the first Elizabeth. Although it is not unheard of to name a child after a living sibling, it is highly unusual. Therefore, that Elizabeth as the given name of the Trott children's mother should be considered suspect.2,1
