     Samuel Burbank was born on 15 July 1684 in Rowley, Essex County, Massachusetts.1 He was the son of Caleb Burbank and Martha Smith.1 He married Lydia Bartlett in Byfield, Massachusetts.2
     
     Samuel Burbank lived in Haverhill, Essex County, Massachusetts, for a few years, then moved to Contoocook, now Hopkinton, New Hampshire, where he was captured by Indians. He died of yellow fever in a prison in Quebec.2
