John F. Gramlich Died at 9 O'Clock Wednesday Morning.

John F. Gramlich, one of the oldest pioneers and settlers of Hardin County, and a citizen of Kenton for many years was called to the home of eternal peace and rest on Wednesday morning.

Having been sick for some time and considering his advanced age of 85 yrs. his death came not quite unexpected, although hopes had been entertained that his well known vitality and the best medical care might lead to his recovery.

The deceased had been connected and identified with various businesses of our city and always had been regarded and respected as an honorable and upright citizen whose dealings with the public challenged the closest inspection. His faithful wife and life long companion to whom he had been united in holy matrimony in Germany sixty years ago, was constantly at the bedside of her husband, during his hours upon this earth.

Out of the twelve children born to this union, seven have died while five children, Henry, William, Mrs. Jacob D. Bateson, Mrs. William C. Ries, and Mrs. Jacob Ault are left to mourn the loss of their beloved father.

Funeral services will be held at the late home of the deceased Friday afternoon at 2:00. Reverend Campbell officiating.
