     Milam Borden was born on 24 August 1844 in Columbia, Brazoria County, Republic of Texas.1 He was the son of Paschal Pavolo Borden and Martha Ann Stafford.1 He married Ella Harriet Underwood, daughter of Ammon Underwood and Rachel Jane Carson, on 6 October 1873 in Brazoria County, Texas.2 He died on 23 July 1875 in Galveston, Galveston County, Texas, at age 30.1
