Sarah Barnhouse was born circa 1816 in Ohio.2 She married Riley Cordrey, son of Nathan Cordrey and Dorcas Jane Ayres, circa 1835.1

Sarah and Riley Cordery appeared on the 1 June 1850 Federal Census of Goshen township, Tuscarawas County, Ohio, enumerated 28 August 1850. Their children Davis, Thomas, Alva, Jacob and James F. were listed as living with them.2
