Jacob D. Bateson

     Jacob D. Bateson was born in August 1843 in Ohio. He married Juliana Catharina Gramlich, daughter of Johann Friederich Gramlich and Friederike Juliana Foit, circa 1869. He died on 11 November 1906 at age 63.1 He was buried in Dunkirk Cemetery, Washington township, Hardin County, Ohio.1
     
     Jacob and Julia Bateson lived on a farm about five miles northwest of Kenton. After retirement, they moved to Dunkirk where Jacob died.2

Jacob D. Bateson was listed as a pallbearer in his mother-in-law Fredericka Foit Gramlich's obituary that appeared in the Kenton Democrat on 3 May 1899 in Kenton, Hardin County, Ohio.5
