Caution. Identification is based solely on there being a Philip Black and Philip Black Jr. in the 1800 census of Washington County, Pennsylvania. Two other Blacks, John and Abraham, appear in the census. It appears that John was too old to have been Philip's son, making it likely that he was a brother. Abraham could have been the son of either Philip or John.
