     Horatio Nelson Morris was born circa 1806 in Newtown, Bucks County, Pennsylvania.1 He was the son of Enos Morris and Elizabeth (—?—) (Hough-Morris).1 He died intestate on 2 August 1843 in Wetumpka, Elmore County (then Coosa), Alabama.1 He was buried in Wetumpka City Cemetery, Elmore County (then Coosa).1 Click to view thumbnails Letters of Administration on the estate of Horatio N. Morris were issued to Minerva Morris and William L. Yancy on 24 August 1843 in Elmore County (then Coosa), Alabama.2 Final settlement was made on 17 April 1848.3 Horatio never married.

Horatio Nelson Morris graduated in March 1829 from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine, Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania. The title of his essay was "Digestion."1,4,5
