Minerva Steele was born in 1819 in Mississippi.1 She married Albert Gallatin Morris, son of Enos Morris and Elizabeth (—?—) (Hough-Morris), circa 1838.1 Letters of Administration on the estate of Horatio N. Morris were issued to Minerva Morris and William L. Yancy on 24 August 1843 in Elmore County (then Coosa), Alabama.2 Final settlement was made on 17 April 1848.3 She died on 31 March 1890 in New Orleans, Orleans Parish, Louisiana.1
