     William Morgan was the son of Edward Morgan and Elizabeth (—?—) (Morgan).1 He married Elizabeth Roberts of Montgomery, 27 8m 1713 (27 October 1713) at Gwynedd Meeting House, Haverford Monthly Meeting, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania.1,2 He, widower of Montgomery, married Catharine Robeson of Merion, 7 10m 1731 (7 December 1731) in Gwynedd Meeting House, Gwynedd, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania.1,2 He died before 29 July 1741.1 Letters of Administration were issued to Catharine Morgan, 29 July 1741.3

William Morgan was among the Friends (Quakers) who united in 1709/10 to raise money to build a new meeting house at Gwynedd, to replace the original log meeting house built in 1700. He signed the subscription paper dated "the sixth day of the first monthy in the year one thousand seven hundred and nine-ten," pledging £2 10s payable in four installments. The stone structure, completed in 1712, was torn down and a new one was built on the same site in 1823. The stone steps are all that remains of the 1712 meeting house.4
