     Manasseh Thomas was born in 1721 in Hilltown, Bucks County, Pennsylvania.1,2 He was the son of Reverend William Thomas and Ann Griffith.1 He married Elizabeth Evans on 22 May 1771.2,3 He died on 7 February 1802.4 His will was proved on 2 March 1802.5 He was buried in Lower Hilltown Baptist Church Cemetery.1 Click to view image

Manasse Thomas was mentioned in his father William Thomas's will dated 11 December 1753 in Hilltown, Bucks County, Pennsylvania.6

In 1757 Manasseh inherited inherited from his father 150 acres on the northward slope of the Perkiomen Valley. This was half of the 300 acre tract bought from James Logan in 1723. Ephraim inherited the other half. The 300 acres adjoined the land inherited by John.6,7

Elias Thomas was named as a trustee in his brother Ephraim Thomas's will dated 14 January 1775 in Bucks County, Pennsylvania.8

When Hilltown Baptist was constituted as a separate church from Montgomery Baptist on 10 November 1781, Manasseh Thomas was one of fifty-four members dismissed to Hilltown. Click to view image

Manasseh Thomas made a will on 17 December 1796 in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, in which he mentioned his children Eber Thomas and Emma Lunn, and grandson Ely Thomas; executor, son Eben.5
