Lucy Caroline Cosper was born circa 1813 in South Carolina.2 She married Gilbert Cobb Richardson, son of Samuel Garthon Richardson and Celah Hackney, on 14 December 1833 in Greene County, Alabama.3 She died in December 1869.4 She was buried in Owensville Cemetery, Robertson County, Texas.4 Lucy C. Richardson's probate was filed on 29 April 1871 in Robertson County.5
The year of her birth according to the online cemetery transcription was 1804. This is probably either a transcription error, or an error on the gravestone. To support that it is an error, census records are consistent, showing her age as 37 in 1850 and 47 in 1860.
