In Surry County, Virginia, on 14 April 1690, John Vincent and Katherine his wife of Southwarke Parish convey to Richard Rose for 500 pounds of good tobacco and cask, 100 acres of land in Southwarke Parish beg. on Cherry Branch ..... Fra: Sowerbys line ..... Ralph Creeds' line. Signed: John (his mark) Vincent and Katherine (her K mark) Vincent. Wit: none. Acknowledged in court by both grantors March 1691. This deed between the Vincents (Vinsons) and Katherine Vincent's son-in-law Richard Rose is to part of the Sowerby lands granted to Francis Sowerby in 1666/67.4

Katherine Vinson was made sole executrix of her husband John Vinson's will dated 20 October 1698 in Surry County.5

The will of Katherine Vinson, dated 26 March 1704, Southwark Parish, Surry County, Virginia, gives 180 acres of land "being part of tract formerly sold to Richd. Rose to Thomas Rose, son of Richd. Rose; to daughter Elizabeth Sowerby some cloths and household goods; to grandchild Anne Rose one two-year old heifer, to Thomas Sowerby furniture and stock, to godson Chas Reeks one Cow, to Elizabeth Jarrard (?) looking glass and a dripping pan, to Elias Osburne one two-year old heifer, to son Francis Sowerby ½ of residue and to son John Sowerby ½ of residue."
