     John Sowerby was born circa 1670.1 He was the son of Francis Sowerby and Katherine (—?—) (Sowerby-Vinson).1 He married Lydia Norwood, daughter of William Norwood and Lydia (—?—) (Norwood), about 1690-95.1 His will was probated on 19 July 1727 in Surry County, Virginia.1
