     Sarah Alden Hayes was born on 16 February 1796.1 She was the daughter of Deacon John Hayes and Sarah Alden King.1 She was baptized on 1 June 1796 in Buxton, York County, Maine, by Rev. Dr. Paul Coffin of Buxton.2 She married her first cousin, Oliver Fairfield, son of William Fairfield and Mary King, on 22 April 1819 in Pepperellborough, York County, Maine.3,4 She died on 25 March 1827 at age 31.1 She was buried in Hope Cemetery, Kennebunk, York County, Maine.
