     Alexander Fairfield was born on 2 August 1795.1,2 He was the son of William Fairfield and Mary King.1 He was baptized on 9 September 1795 in Church of Christ, Arundel, York County, Maine.3 He married Janet Ferguson in 1827.4,5 He died on 1 December 1872 in St. Sylvestre, Lotbinière County, Quebec, at age 77.4,6 He was buried in West Cemetery, St. Sylvestre.4
     
     Alexander went to Canada with one of the King brothers, and married there. He had a son and five or six daughters, all of whom married and lived in the vicinity of St. Sylvestre, Quebec. 7 The King brother was undoubtedly Josiah, son of David.

The handwriting was imitated and the formatting preserved in the copy, and it is still in the possession of the writer.
