     Persis Lucinda Thurber was born on 17 July 1825 in Tingwick, Quebec.1,2 She was the daughter of Benjamin Wilson Hall Thurber and Mary Persis King.1 She was baptized on 6 July 1838 in Leeds, Quebec.1 She married Henry Work on 2 July 1854.2 She died on 20 March 1912 in Ottawa, Franklin County, Kansas, at age 86.2
     
     Persis Lucinda Thurber and Henry Work had three children.2
