     Lucretia Emery was born on 6 March 1709 in Berwick, York County, Maine.3 She was the daughter of James Emery and Margaret Hitchcock.1,2 She was baptized on 13 March 1708/9 in First Church, Berwick.1 She married William Dyer, son of William Dyer and Mary Chadbourne, after April 1731.4,5,6
     
     Lucretia Emery was mentioned in her father James Emery's will dated 28 December 1724: "…unto my daughter Lucretia twenty Shillings."3,7 Click to view image She was before the court on charges of fornication in June 1731 in York County, Maine.6 She and William Dyer lived in Biddeford.2
