     Margaret Hitchcock was born on 25 September 1664 in Saco, York County, Maine.3,4 She was the daughter of Lieut. Richard Hitchcock and Lucretia Williams.2,3 She married James Emery, son of James Emery and Elizabeth (—?—) (Emery), on 18 December 1685.2
     
     The record of their birth does not give the names of the children5 As there are two children named in their father's will for whom there are no other birth records, Margaret and Ann, it is assumed that they were the two unnamed children born on this date.6
