     Capt. John Stone was the son of Dixey Stone.2 He married Hannah Stone, daughter of Israel Stone and Sarah Perkins, his first cousin once removed, on 21 July 1795.3 He died in the infamous Dartmoor Prison, Princetown, Devon, England, during the War of 1812.2
