     Davis Perry Heminger was born on 19 August 1832.2,3 He was the son of Davis Heminger and Margaret "Pega" Cordrey.2 He married first Eliza Ann Cordrey, daughter of Moses Ayres Cordrey and Hannah Black, on 13 January 1856 in Tuscarawas County, Ohio.1 He married second Dorcas Jane Cordrey, daughter of Moses Ayres Cordrey and Hannah Black, on 22 August 1878 in Tuscarawas County, Ohio.1 He died on 17 June 1908 at age 75.4
     
     Davis Perry Heminger was a carpenter and preacher.4
