     Rachel Ellen Heminger was born on 10 April 1863 in Ohio.3,1,2 She was the daughter of Nathaniel Lafayette Heminger and Catharine Cordrey.2 She married Samuel Dessecker on 2 December 1883 in New Philadelphia, Tuscarawas County, Ohio.4 She died on 22 May 1951 at age 88.3 She was buried in Bisel Church Cemetery, Fairfield township, Tuscarawas County, Ohio.3
     
     Rachel Ellen Heminger and Samuel Dessecker had nine children.4
