     Nathaniel Lafayette Heminger was born on 8 May 1829 in Ohio.3,2 He was the son of Davis Heminger and Margaret "Pega" Cordrey.2 He married Catharine Cordrey, daughter of Moses Ayres Cordrey and Hannah Black, on 9 March 1854 in Tuscarawas County, Ohio.4,1 He died on 8 April 1885 at age 55.3,4 He was buried in Bisel Church Cemetery, Fairfield township, Tuscarawas County, Ohio.3
     
     Nathaniel Lafayette Heminger was a farmer and contractor.4
