     Peter Steinman was born on 5 March 1837.1 He married Carolina Magdalena Gramlich, daughter of Johann Friederich Gramlich and Friederike Juliana Foit, on 7 March 1861.2 He was killed in a railroad accident on 16 May 1896 in Washington at age 59.1 He was buried in Tacoma, Pierce County, Washington.1
