     Ella Foit was born on 13 February 1879 in Hardin County, Ohio.1 She was the daughter of Johann Foit and Mary M. Smith.1 She married Enoch J. Steinman, son of Peter Steinman and Carolina Magdalena Gramlich, on 25 October 1899.1 She died on 24 June 1942 at age 63.1
