Great-grandaunt of Louise Underwood.
3rd great-grandaunt of Laura Jane Munson.
Family Background:
Underwood and Allied Families
Harriet H. Patterson was the daughter of John Patterson.1 She married John Whiteman on 9 June 1835 in West Feliciana Parish, Louisiana.2,3

Harriet apparently died before 1850 when her husband and children appear on the census in Bayou Sara, West Feliciana Parish, Louisiana. Without census records, it is almost impossible to estimate when she was born. However, she is almost certainly one of the two youngest children and was probably born in Indiana after the family moved there from Nova Scotia. If that assessment is correct, she was a child when the family moved to Catahoula Parish, Louisiana.
