     Josiah Richardson was born on 8 May 1734 in Chelmsford, Middlesex County, Massachusetts.1 He was the son of Zachariah Richardson and Sarah Butterfield.1 He married Lydia Warren, daughter of Ephraim Warren and Esther (—?—), on 2 December 1761 in Chelmsford.2 He died on 15 April 1801 at age 66.3 He was buried on 16 April 1801 in Forefather's Burying Ground, Chelmsford Center.4
     
     Josiah and Lydia Richardson "owned the covenant", a custom that entitled them baptism for their children, on 25 April 1763.3
