     Adam Stone was born on 12 December 1791 in Arundel, York County, Maine.1,2 He was the son of Jonathan Stone and Margaret McCulloch.1 He was baptized on 17 September 1797 in Church of Christ, Arundel.3 He married Miranda Fairfield, daughter of William Fairfield and Mary King, on 4 May 1820.1,2 He died on 25 February 1835 at age 43.1,2
     
     Adam and Miranda probably had at least two children, an assumption based on there being one male child in Adam's household in 1830 (see below), and the probability that Mary E. Stone, 19, found in the 1850 census in the household of Stephen and Miranda Perkins in Kennebunkport, was their daughter. Click to view image
