     John Whitacre was born on 14 May 1704 in Makefield township, Bucks County, Pennsylvania.1 He was the son of John Whitacre and Jane Bond.1 He married Naomi Hulme, daughter of George Hulme Jr. and Ruth Palmer, on 24 June 1734 in Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania. He died between 1768 and 1775 in Loudoun County, Virginia.1

John and Naomi Whitacre were granted a certificate to Kingwood Monthly Meeting, New Jersey, on 1 12m 1756 (1 December 1756) by Fallsington, Bucks County, Pennsylvania.3

On 9 6m 1757 (9 June 1757) at Kingwood Monthly Meeting, Hunterdon County, New Jersey, John and Naomi Whitacre and their children, not named, were received on certificate from Falls Monthly Meeting.4

On 31 10m 1761 (31 October 1761), John, wife Naomi, and children George, Joseph, Benjamin, Joshua, Caleb and Robert, were received at Fairfax Monthly Meeting, Loudoun County, Virginia, on certificate from Kingwood Monthly Meeting, New Jersey, dated 13 8m 1761 (13 August 1761).4
