     Caleb Whitacre was born on 15 May 1755 in Bucks County, Pennsylvania.1 He was the son of John Whitacre and Naomi Hulme.1 He married first on 31 10m 1776 (31 October 1776) at Goose Creek Meeting House, Goose Creek (now Lincoln), Loudoun County, Virginia, under auspices of Fairfax Monthly Meeting, Phebe Gore who had been received on request by Fairfax Monthly Meeting on 26 9m 1776 (26 September 1776).2 He of Columbiana County, Ohio, married second Rebecca Bracken of Washington County, Pennsylvania, daughter of Solomon Miller and Sarah Miller, 29 8m 1808 (29 August 1808) in Westland Meeting House, Washington County, Pennsylvania.3 He died on 23 July 1816 in Warren County, Ohio, at age 61.1

On 31 10m 1761 (31 October 1761), Caleb Whitacre, with his parents John and Naomi Whitacre, and brothers George, Joseph, Benjamin, Joshua and Robert, were received at Fairfax Monthly Meeting, Loudoun County, Virginia, on certificate from Kingwood Monthly Meeting, New Jersey, dated 13 8m 1761 (13 August 1761).2

Caleb and Benjamin Whitacre were involved in a fight that Caleb acknowledged and for which Benjamin was disowned 30 9m 1775 (30 September 1775) by Loudoun County, Virginia.2

It was reported to Fairfax Monthly Meeting on 24 2m 1776 (24 February 1776) that Caleb Whitacre and Benjamin Whitacre are "still making addresses to young women not of our Society, with the object of marriage." Caleb's acknowledgement was accepted, as he had apparently since married within the faith, but Benjamin was disowned 27 4m 1776 (27 April 1776).2

Caleb Whitacre and Phebe Whitacre transferred from Fairfax Monthly Meeting to Goose Creek Monthly Meeting, in 1785.2

On 27 10m 1806 Caleb and his children Thornton, Achsah and David were granted a certificate to Salem Monthly Meeting, Columbiana County, Ohio by Goose Creek Monthly Meeting, Loudoun County, Virginia.4

At Salem Monthly Meeting, Columbiana County, Ohio, on 13 1m 1807 (13 January 1807), Caleb Whitacre and his children Thornton, Achsah and David were received on certificate from Goose Creek Monthly Meeting, Loudoun County, Virginia.4

On 16 8m 1808 (16 August 1808) at Columbiana County, Ohio, Caleb Whitacre was granted a certificate to Westland Monthly Meeting, Washington County, Pennsylvania, to marry Rebecca Bracken.5
