Joseph Whitacre was born in 1747 in Bucks County, Pennsylvania.1 He was the son of John Whitacre and Naomi Hulme.1 He married Jane Wilson before 27 5m 1780 (27 May 1780).2 He died in 1832 in Columbiana County, Ohio.1

On 31 10m 1761 (31 October 1761), Joseph Whitacre, with his parents John and Naomi Whitacre, and brothers George, Benjamin, Joshua, Caleb and Robert, were received at Fairfax Monthly Meeting, Loudoun County, Virginia, on certificate from Kingwood Monthly Meeting, New Jersey, dated 13 8m 1761 (13 August 1761).2
